Marilyn Vandermarliere mainly advises on aspects of ICT law, processing of personal data and intellectual property rights, the latter with a particular focus on the fashion, media and entertainment industries. In addition, she has a thorough knowledge of commercial and economic law in the broader sense, allowing her to easily anticipate on any issues that may arise in other jurisdictions.
Marilyn prefers a pragmatic, business-oriented approach and guides her clients in comprehensive language through the legal aspects relevant to their project, technology or enterprise in general.
In 2015 Marilyn graduated cum laude as Master of Laws, at the University of Antwerp. She then started her legal internship at a medium-sized law firm, based in Antwerp, where she practiced commercial and economic law, with a particular focus on ICT contracting. At the beginning of 2019, she briefly left the bar, to take position as an in-house counsel in an Antwerp based multinational, where she focused exclusively on legal projects and negotiations in an international context. In October 2019, she joined Affluo.
